Our Build Your Own Kits are a great way to actively engage all ages of the family in the outdoors and stimulate an interest in nature.
This kit contains all the materials to make your own 'Basic' Bird Box, and is easy to assemble with all the panels cut to size and pre-drilled holes so minimal tools are required. The finished box is easy to put up on a tree, wall or fence and has an easy open roof to enable access to clear out old nesting material once the breeding season has finished. There are seven different roof colours to choose from.
It is important to note that, whilst the kit is designed to be easy to assemble and is suitable for a family activity, assembly of the box and use of hand tools should be carried out with care and with appropriate safety equipment, and children and vulnerable individuals should be subject to appropriate adult supervision. The kit is made of rough sawn timber so care should be taken to avoid wood splinters.

Delivery for items purchased through our online shop to most UK Mainland locations is charged at a flat rate of £5.00 per order (exceptions are BT, IM, KW, IV, HS and ZE postcode areas where the delivery charge is £8.00 per order - please see additional information section below) so whether you purchase one item, two items, five items or more the delivery charge will always be the same. (Only applies to items for sale via the online shop and does not include special order items - e.g. Owl Boxes).
Delivery is via courier and we aim to see orders are dispatched within fourteen days.
Additional Information for Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Highland & Islands (BT, IM, KW, IV, HS and ZE postcodes) - Due to higher courier delivery costs, these areas are subject to a higher delivery charge of £8.00 per order and customers must select the correct delivery option at the checkout.
For Northern Ireland (BT Postcodes) – select ‘Northern Ireland’ region at the checkout.
For Isle of Man (IM Postcodes) – select ‘Isle of Man’ country at the checkout.
For Highland & Islands (KW, IV, HS & ZE Postcodes) – select ‘Scotland’ region and then must select the "Remote Postcode" shipping option.
We reserve the right to cancel and refund any orders where the incorrect delivery option is selected.
We do not currently deliver to the Channel Islands.

Returns
We hope you will be pleased with any items you purchase but if you should change your mind within 14 days of delivery then please contact us to arrange the return of the item and a refund. Items must be returned unused and undamaged and the Buyer is responsible for return delivery costs. The items should be returned within 14 days and it is recommended to obtain a proof of postage.
Refunds
Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.
If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund via Paypal within 14 days.
You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on Paypal processing times and/or your card issuer's policies.
Delivery & Return Costs
The Buyer will be responsible for paying for the return delivery costs for returning your item.
